OK, so I know this is not a high quality picture but it is a cute one! There is a little slide in the inside play area at Jacob's day care. He has been very curious about it and today decided to climb up it. His day care provider snapped this with her cell phone and sent it to me. After climbing up and down the steps several times, Jacob decided to go down the slide for the first time on his own. He went down head first on his belly and laughed and laughed! Theressa said he loved it and continues to slide down the slide every day. I guess Tim and I are going to have to get him one for the house!Jan 28, 2008

First Time At McDonalds
Tim had an appointment tonight, so I decided to pick Jacob up from daycare and take him to McDonald's for dinner. He loved getting chicken nuggets and french fries. This is the first time that he has ever had McDonald's.Jan 24, 2008
Jacob's Birthday Part 3 - More Cupcake Pictures
Here are the strawberry cupcakes I made for Jacob to take to day care. They had vanilla icing on them and were pretty yummy!
Jacob had no problem digging in! He thought having cupcakes for breakfast was pretty cool. I posted some earlier pictures of the cupcake eating, but those were pictures I had taken with my cell phone. These are from my camera.
I am sure that Jacob wished that everyday was his birthday so he could have cupcakes for breakfast! There were some super cute pictures of the other kids eating the cupcakes, but I did not feel right about posting them without their parents permission. Let's just say that some of them really knew how to go for it! Frosting from head to toe!Jacob's Birthday Part 2 - The Birthday Cupcakes
Today is Jacob's 1st birthday and we had the best morning with him. Tim and I got up with Jacob and gave him his present from mommy and daddy (I will post those pictures soon). Then I frosted the cupcakes I baked last night and we headed over to his day care. I snapped these pictures with my phone, so there will be more pictures in the next post.
As you can see, Jacob had no problem eating the cupcake. This was his first one and he thought it was pretty yummy. I mean who wouldn't like a strawberry cupcake for breakfast?Jacob's Birthday Part 1 - The Present
Today is Jacob's birthday and we had some special time with our little man first thing this morning. We got up and gave him his birthday gift from mommy and daddy.
Of course anything that involves ripping paper is lot's of fun for any one year old!
Daddy ended up having to help Jacob out to reveal the present! It was pretty exciting stuff!
Of course for those of you out there that have kids, especially little ones, you know how hard it is to get the toy out of the packaging. That was certainly the case here! They had the drum and maracas bolted in the box! It took quite a bit of work to get them out!Jan 20, 2008

Lunch Time Fun
My daycare provider Theressa is great about sending me pictures of little man Jake. As many of you know, he has a mouth full of teeth (12 so far), so she has been trying all kinds of new foods with him. Jacob seems to be enjoying them! As you can see by this pictures he has as much on him and he gets in him. This was baked beans and chicken nuggets.
