Helping Mommy Make Grammy's Cake

As you can see, my little man was a great helper this morning with Grammy Lynn's birthday cake.

Mmmmmmm.....cake batter in the morning! The breakfast of champions!
Jacob and I had a great time making the cake! He is a good little helper!

Thanksgiving and Grammy Lynn's Birthday

My mom's birthday is right around Thanksgiving and actually falls on Turkey Day some years. That was the case this year. Even though she said not to worry about a birthday cake, I could not stand it and made this one early that morning. Going to the grocery store on Thanksgiving morning was an adventure to say the least! But I think her lemmon with raspberry sauce birthday cake was a hit with the family so it was worth it!

Jackson was a great helper in blowing out the candles.
I had to post this one so you can see how much my sister's eldest son TJ has grown. He is such a man now!
This is my mom's mom, our grandmother - we all call her Monnie. I am so thankful to have such a great family and have them around for Jacob. I can remember my great grandmother so I think it is great that he has two of them around.

Mmmmmm.......cake is very yummy!

Jackson is always a character and lately loves having his picture taken. Both my sisters boys are so cute!
I am rarely in the pictures as I am always the one taking them. Today I remembered to actually get in a few. This is me with my handsome hubby Tim.

Joni, mom and me!
The grandsons! TJ, Jack and Jacob.
Three generation of women! I love my family!

First ASU Football Game

Tim gets season tickets to the ASU football games every year. One of the games fell on a Sunday afternoon so we went with him. Jacob already loves football so we thought he might like to go to a game.
He loved every minute of it! It was great fun to watch the game and eat all the yummy snacks. My kid loves to eat! Especially popcorn!

Aunt Michelle and Uncle Tom came down to see us at half time. They brought Jacob some cookies and some peanuts. Daddy needed to help with the peanuts as out little guy was eating them shell and all. They tasted much better after daddy got the shell off! Aunt Michelle and Uncle Tom were super cool and bought Jacob his first ASU football! Which he promptly threw at someones head. Oh well, we thought it was funny!

Jacob with his super cool Aunt Michelle and Uncle Tom. Go Devils!

This was my first attempt at posting a small video to our blog. Check out our little guy cheering on the Sun Devils!

Mom's First 5K

I decided some time ago to run the PF Chang's 1/2 marathon in January of 2008. So having never run in an event before I decided to try this 5K that was close to the house and it supported Autism. We have some good friends and their twins have autism. Even though they have moved to New Zealand - I still felt like I was supporting them from afar. They always said how amazing the support they got in in AZ was for their kids.

It was a lot of fun coming up to the finish line and seeing my two guys there cheering me on! I ran over and scooped up Jacob and stopping running just short of the finish line! Whoops! Everyone around me was yelling, "Go! Go! Run to the finish line!" I did and then had to laugh! One lady said to me that it was in true "mom fashion" that I forgot all about the finish line when I saw my little guy!

It was a beautiful day and Jacob got to see the fire trucks, and the police cars, and he got some great snacks too! I felt great after my run and am looking foward to many more!

Baby Bum

Sleeping babies are one of the sweetest things you will ever see! I just had to post this picture as I think it is so cute when they stick their little bum's up in the air!
