Cruising All Over The Place

Jacob is now walking like a mad man! He is having a great time cruising all over the house. This is "Jacob's cabinet" in the kitchen. He loves to pull out all the Tupperware and plastic cups from under the cabinet.
This is Jacob's big dump truck that he can sit on and ride, or stand behind and push. He loves to push it all over the house as it makes a lot of cool noises. There is a back up beep, a horn, a noise for when you lift up the back of the truck and of course a noise that sound like a diesel truck starting up. Secretly it is Tim's favorite toy, but we just tell everyone it is Jacob's.

One the move again! Jacob has to drag all the stuff from under the Tupperware cabinet all over the house. We find stuff everywhere! Life is good when you are a little one!

Jacob has ventured off into our game room now that he is walking so well. He really likes it when we have the front door open (not to worry the security screen is locked).

Hey dad, what does Corona mean???

Jacob loves to make us laugh by sticking his tongue in and out, in and out! He makes us laugh every day is is such a joy! It is hard to believe that he will be 15 months next month!

Lisa's Baptism

Many of you know that I have been going to classes since September 2007 to become Catholic. Tonight was the night that I was baptised, received Confirmation and Communion for the first time. It was a long ceremony but very beautiful. I was baptised with 4 other adults and 3 children. Here we are being anointed by the blessed oils.
In our church it is a full submersion baptism - yes that is right full submersion! Father Robert had just recently come come back from the holy land and brought back water from the Jordan River. He blessed our baptism water and added the water from the Jordan River. It was a pretty cool ceremony.

Here I go completely under....

And here I come out. Even though I looked like a drowned rat in front of the whole congregation, it was a pretty cool experience.

We had 15 minutes to get out of our wet clothes to come back into the Church and continue the ceremony with Conformation and Communion, so we all had wet hair. Here we got our Conformation candles. My father-in-law and my mother-in-law were my sponsors (Chuck and Sherry Fulcher). You see them here with me as a part of the ceremony. Then came communion. There are parts of the ceremony that are very sacred, so therefore no pictures.

Afterwards, Chuck and Sherry gave me the most beautiful Rosary! It was so sweet and thoughtful of them to do that for me. It was made out of Jade and silver. They picked this one as they knew green was my favorite color. I was able to get my Rosary blessed that very night.

Here we are with Father Robert. Now I am a full fledged member of the St. James community!

Easter Afternoon

We celebrated Easter in the afternoon at my sister Joni's house. These are the Easter cupcakes that I made for everyone. This is the "before" pictures as they got a little smushed on the way over. I had to do some emergency repair once we got there!
Grandma Lynn had Easter baskets for all the kids which was really cool. She had goldfish crackers in one of the plastic eggs for Jacob. He is still a little to young for tons of candy, so the goldfish crackers were perfect.

It was a beautiful day outside and Jacob had a great time running around with his cousins looking for Easter eggs. Mostly Jacob just ran around, but he still had fun.

Auntie Joni helped Jacob find some eggs for his basket. Jacob had a great time chucking the eggs on the ground. They were also filled with goldfish crackers, so the dogs had a great time eating them!

Here are Jacob's cousins, Jackson and TJ. They love when baby Jacob comes over to their house! TJ is always so sweet with Jacob and Jack is glad that he can finally play with him.

Jack was being silly so I had to take a picture! He is such a ham and has the funniest sense of humor!
Jacob had a good time sliding down the slide with daddy. He is still to small to go down this big slide by himself, but he will get there soon enough.

Daddy was a great help in getting Jacob up and down the slide! Hurray for daddies!

Easter Morning

Last year Jacob was only a few month's old so we did not get him and Easter Basket. Not this year! This is his first Easter basket. It was shaped like a baseball.
Jacob had a great time going though and pulling everything out of it! He especially like to throw the plastic eggs that were in his basket.

He got a book, a bunny, a car, the plastic eggs, a bouncy ball, and an outfit. I think he liked the plastic eggs the best as they broke open when he threw them. Andrea also got him an outfit and a new pair os shoes that were really cute! He got to wear his new shoes when we got him dressed.

Of course anything makes a good hat when you are a toddler! The Easter basket was no exception to this rule!

Cousin Judy

Tim's cousin Judy came to AZ for business so she stopped by Grandpa and Grandma Fulcher's for a visit last night. Tim took Jacob over to see his cousin and Uncle Tom was there too. I had my church class so I did not get to go visit.
it looks like Grandma and Grandpa Fulcher got some little boy a bucket of toys to play with when he comes to visit. Grandparents rock!

Tim said Jacob was all over the place and was busy showing his mad walking skills and just showing off in general!

Of course Jacob found the screen dog door, so they had to block it so he would not go through and so the dogs could not get in. I guess Rosie kept poking her head in to say hi!

I am sorry I missed out on the visit, but I am glad that Jacob and Tim got to go over! They had a good time.

Lisa's Birthday

Today is my 42nd birthday! We celebrated with my family this past Sunday at my sister's house.
Jacob is still to young to get what birthdays are at this point in time - but he did enjoy getting a piece of cake! Mmmmmmm......cake is goooood!

My girlfriend Yvette was in town visiting her son Donnie and she got to come over and celebrate with us. She had her beautiful granddaughter Nicole with her on this visit so I got to meet her for the first time. It was really great seeing Yvette and having some time together.

This is John Lee. Yvette and I met John when we were all working at America West Airlines about 20 years ago (yikes has it been that long)! John never seems to age, unlike the rest of us! I was glad that he was able to come over too since he is working the grave yard shift so it is hard for us to get to see each other.

The three amigos! It was really nice to get caught up and to have them meet my little man!

Business Trip Blues

I had to go out of town for an overnight trip last week. I had barely gotten on the plane and I already missed the big man and the little man! I was surprised by this picture on my cell phone when I landed of Jacob. His day care provider is awesome about snapping pictures of him on her cell phone and then sending them to me. She is a mom too, so she knows how something as simple as a cell phone picture can brighten my day!

Swinging Even When It Is Cold

Jacob got up early today and even though it was a bit cool outside, insisted that he needed to go swing for awhile.
So here he is in all his glory! Pajama's and a coat! Life is good when you get to swing no matter what time it is or how cold it is outside.

Of course that meant that mommy and daddy had to be out there too to push Jacob in his swing. So here I am sporting quite the fashionable look! My pink striped pajamas and Tim's sweat jacket. Fabulous!
Now of course my look would not be complete with out the "bed head" hair do! I think we made quite the fashion statement this morning!

Dogs, Dogs and More Dogs

As many of you know we have three dogs and a cat. I sometimes call our house "Fulcher Farm"! I thought I would include a post of the dogs, since we have a unique breed of dogs. We have two Bouvier des Flandres (or Bouv's as we call them) and one Schnoodle (miniature poodle / Schnauzer mix).
Cesar is the big male Bouv on the left and his sister is Cleo. The little guy is Max the wonder dog.
Cesar is about 125 pounds, Cleo is about 105 pounds and Max is about 23 pounds. They are definitely a huge part of our family and they are great with Jacob.

Spiked Hair

Andrea decided to spike Jacob's hair today. I thought it looked pretty cute all sticking up! His daddy was not as impressed as Andrea and I were! Poor Tim, he does not stand a chance sometimes! I am thinking that we might go shorter on Jacob's next hair cut so that we can spike it up more.
Jacob is a little bit of a ham I think when the camera is out! He seems to know that he is supposed to smile! Such a cutie! As you can see he loves his sissy!

Toilet Paper Fun

One of Jacob's favorite things these days is playing with toilet paper. He thinks it is pretty cool to sneak into the bathroom and take it off the roll.
I guess there is something fascinating about pulling this white stuff off the roll and watching it go round and round.
Once he gets enough of it off, then he has to tear it up into little pieces. This is also grand fun when you are 13 months old!

We try to keep him out of there, but in the end it is really not that big of a deal. Tim and I always laugh as Jacob has so many nice toys, but it is the inexpensive things that bring him the most joy! Tearing up the toilet paper, flushing the toilet, and playing with the Tupperware and a wooden spoon!
