Steak Is Great

After all that backyard fun, we had to come in for dinner. Jacob has almost all of his teeth now (as you can see) so we decided to try some steak for dinner tonight.

He thought thought that steak was great! Supper yummy! He could not eat it fast enough. Even though he has most of his teeth, we still cut it up really small. We are lucky that he is such a good eater!

We have been practicing some sign language and here Jacob is telling me "more", meaning he wanted more steak! I am so amazed at how fast the little people can learn things! We now have a sign for up, more and done. This week we will start working on drink and please. It is a lot easier when you can communicate with your child before they can speak!

Big Steps and Back Yard Fun

Jacob has been walking on his own three-six steps at a time. This evening in the back yard he took 12 steps on his own with no assistance! He was very curious about the cat and was standing next to his daddy and let go and to go after the cat. He went 12 steps before he realized what he was doing!

We brought out the dump truck that Grandma and Grandpa Hawkins gave him for his birthday. Dump trucks are super cool in the back yard! Of course he would never let go long enough for me to take his picture walking, so I will have to get a picture of that at a later time.

Now that Jacob is more mobile, exploring everything is super fun! He decided to crawl over to the dog run to see what was over there.

He is checking out everything! We are loving the nice weather and have been able to enjoy the back yard evryday after work when we pick him up from day care.

On the move again!

New Back Yard Furniture

For Christmas, Tim and I gave each other new patio and back yard furniture. You know you are getting old when you get excited about patio furniture! This is the new table and chairs we have under the patio. I love all the detail in the table!

These are the new rocker chairs by the fire pit. They are super comfortable and a great place to have coffee in the morning! We got to pick the Sunbrella fabric and I love the splash of color back there.

We got two matching bar stools by the barbecue. It is so nice to have the new furniture as we are spending more and more time in the backyard with Jacob.

More Swing Time Fun

I know I already posted some pictures of Jacob swinging, but it is truly one of his most favorite things to do. We pretty much swing every day when we get home from work/day care and also on the weekend.

As you can see, he is one little happy camper in his swing! It is getting so nice outside that we are spending more time in the back yard. Hopefully soon we will have a slide out there for him to enjoy as well!

Valentine's Day

I got the most beautiful roses sent to my work for Valentines Day! Tim is always great about sending flowers for Valentine's Day. The flowers this year were amazing as always. But my favorite part of the day was not only getting a card from my handsome hubby, but getting a card from my son too. I had to bring them into work with me so I could enjoy them all day!

A New Swing

Tim hung up a swing for Jacob on the patio this past weekend. These are pictures snapped from a cell phone so I could get them posted quickly. He LOVES his new swing! It is one of his favorite things to do these days.

We swing every night when we get home from daycare, before his dinner. It is so nice to have the swing and be able to do something with the little man outside.

He laughs and smiles every time we put him in his swing. Tim and I are in the process of finding Jacob a small jungle gym for the back yard, as the weather is getting so nice! Then he will be able to swing, slide and crawl around on his jungle gym!

Sleepy Little Boy

So it has been a rough few nights in the Fulcher household. Jacob has been waking up screaming the past four nights. Obviously Tim and I have been very concerned as Jacob is normally a good sleeper and he sleeps though the night. We have talked with the doctor's office and will be trying something new tonight with him and hopefully that will work. But of course with the disruption in his sleep, it has made Jacob tired during the day. I guess today he was just too tired to finish his tater tots and feel asleep in his high chair at lunch. Poor little guy!

First Hair Cut

We took Jacob in for his first hari cut today. It was this really fun kid friendly place called Cool Cuts, so I thought he would like it.

At first jacob though sitting in the car was kind of fun - but that did not last long!

As soon has his stylists put the cape on him and wet his hair, it was all over with! Big tears from the little man! He was done with this whole hair cut thing!

But unfortunately, once you start a hair cut you have to finish! So daddy and I did our best to make him happy and try to get through the rest of the hair cut.

In the end, daddy saved the day by scooping up Jacob. As you can see by this picture he was mad, mad, mad. But a few animal crackers and a sippy cup made it all better!
