The Train Park

It was a beautiful New Years Eve day. We decided to take Jacob to the train park in Scottsdale. We had a blast! They have old train cars everywhere, a carousel and a small train to ride all around the park. This was Jacob's first time on a carousel and he kept saying "yee-haw, yee-haw" when he rode the horse on the carousel. It was so cute!
He loved the little train ride as well. We noticed as we were on the ride that they whole park was decorated with Christmas lights so we decided to come back the next night so ride the train again and see the lights.
They had lot's of fun stuff for the little people!
My sweet baby boy!
Coming down the slide! Wheeeeee!
We had a great time on the playground with the slides and the swings.
We found a nice grassy area and stopped and had some apples and carrots for a snack.
Yummmmmmmy apple!
Then we went over to anther area of the park that was like a little western town. This was Jacob in the stage coach.
Getting daddy from the the jail!
On top of the jail house checking things out.
Here he is taking the slide down from the top of the jail house.
He was so happy and we had such a great day as a family.
Practicing our balancing skills on a balance beam.
I think Jacob liked the end the best as we would hold his hands as he jumped off!

Christmas Morning with the Fulcher Clan

The Christmas fun continued when Jacob's brother Derek and his wife Jackie came over along with Jacob's sissy Andrea. We saved Jacob's Elmo Live present so that the kids could see him open it. As you can see, Jacob was VERY excited about his Elmo Live!
Elmo Live is very cool as he is all interactive. He laughs, sings, tells jokes and tells stories. Hours of entertainment for the little man!
Jacob had a whole second set of presents to open. It was very cool.
Jackie and Derek brought their dog Snoopy with them. She always does great at our house with the other dogs. All the dogs got a treat on Christmas day.
Andrea was pretty excited about her new Sun's jersey - she had to put it on immediately.
Jacob helping Jackie open her gift.
Tim got some super cool shirts from me and Jacob this year. We keep him hip and young!
I love this picture of my guys!
Grandma Sherry and Great Grandma Ellen soon joined the fun. We also had Uncle Tom, Aunt Michelle, Uncle Mike and Aunt Judy with us to celebrate the day.
More presents!
Spike our cat is always happy when he has a box to lay in. We threw this one down just so he could crawl into it.
Uncle Tom brought a D-Backs hat that ended up being a little to small for Derek. So Jacob has it now. Although Christmas was tough this year without Grandpa Chuck, having a little person around reminded us to focus on the joy in our lives and not the sorrow.

Christms Morning With Jacob

I was so excited for Christmas this year! I started a tradition last year where we all get a new pair of pajamas to wear on Christmas morning. Jacob picked out the football pajamas. It was great fun watching Jacob come down the stairs and see the tree after Santa left all his presents.
Jacob was very excited and yelled out "bike" when he saw his tricycle. We told him he could open his presents and he immediately went to work.
Opening presents rocks!
We took time out to play with each present as they were opened. Jacob loved playing cars with daddy!
Then they had to take time out to tickle and wrestle a little bit! My crazy guys!
After all that playing and present opening, the little man was hungry. Cookies and milk on Christmas morning - a perfect combination!

Mmmmmmm....Kettle Corn

There was some left over Kettle Corn from our trip to Zoo Lights at the Phoenix Zoo.
Jacob crawled up on the couch and shared some popcorn with daddy. They were watching football so it was definitely a guy moment!
Although the Kettle Corn was good - it was not near as good as Grandpa Chuck and Sherry make! They make the best Kettle Corn we have ever tasted!

Zoo Lights

We took Jacob to see the Zoo Lights at the Phoenix Zoo for the first time. It was a bit chilly so we had to bundle everyone up!
Andrea was all set to go!

Grammy and Grandpa Hawkins went with us too!
Me and Tim. Tim always teases us as he knows what real cold weather is like having lived in Wisconsin.
Grammy & Grandpa got the little man some Kettle Corn to munch on. Jacob loved it and could not be bothered with pictures when he had popcorn to eat!

Jacob and his sissy rode the camel. He loved it and was not afraid at all. He was supposed to be at least 2 years old in order to ride the camel. He is tall for his age so we didn't tell!
The camels were pretty stinky, but it was all worth seeing the smile on Jacob's face. He is very lucky to have such a great big sister that is willing to ride a stinky camel with him.

Christmas at Grammy & Grandpa Hawkins House

Christmas is so much more fun now that we have a little guy! We have a tradition with my parents that I love. We have a Christmas celebration with them a few days before Christmas and we always have Mexican food. There is always too much food and tons of love. It is the best! My sister's youngest Jack was a great helper in handing out the presents this year.
Grammy and Grandpa Hawkins did a great job as always! All the grand-kids presents were taken out of the packaging and had batteries in them. So they were ready to be played with immediately. That was a big hit with the kids! And the parents too! We did not have to fight to get the presents out of the packaging so the kids could play with their toys.
My sister Joni - we all had a great time being together.
Her hubby Chris...
Her eldest son TJ - he is such a man now!
I have a tradition wit my dad. It started when I was a little girl. I gave him a box of chocolate covered cherries one year, and I have been doing it ever since. I always look forward to buying him a box. It makes me smile!
Me....trying to remember to post my picture on our blog every once in awhile!
My handsome husband Tim....
Jacob's sister Andrea....
Little man Jake. He really got into opening presents. It was so much fun to watch him this year.
And last but not least my mom, Grammy Lynn. We are so blessed to have all of our family here to celebrate with us.
