New Lights In The Yard

Tim put up these great solar lights in the front and back yard for me today. They look awesome and are low maintenance since they are solar. Jacob was a great helper for daddy!
He is all ready to hammer in the spike with his "Handy Manny" hammer once daddy drills the hole in the ground.
Here he goes! Pound! Pound! Pound! Jacob is very good with the hammer!
He has to hammer a little more before the job is done.
OK! On to the next one daddy!
After all that hammering, Jacob needed a little break so he hung out with his sissy on her car. I think he enjoyed that just as much as he did the hammering!

Jacob's Swing Set

Jacob got his big boy swing set this weekend! Bill and Tara came over and the guys put together the swing set while the girls cooked dinner (and drank a lot of wine)! The first thing that Jacob did when they got the frame up was go swing on the bar and say "whee" over and over. He was so excited!

Of course he had to try out both sides to make sure they were equally as fun to swing on!
The weather was beautiful so Audrey had a great time cruising around the yard.
Since Jacob was getting a big boy swing set with a slide, he decided to give baby Audrey his old slide that he was too big for now. He was helping her get inside the slide here so he could show her how to use it. That is what big boys do ya know! They help out the babies!
Almost done - here comes the slide. Audrey was pretty happy with the slide just like it was on the ground. But we went ahead and attached it to the swing set.
Here we go - just about finished!

It ended up getting dark right as the guys finished, but Jacob was still able to enjoy going down the slide several times before we went in for dinner.
And Audrey got to enjoy the slide too - with a little help from her daddy!

My Birthday

Today was my 43rd birthday. I was greeted with beautiful roses and cards from my two guys! It was such a great way to start the day!

My roses were beautiful so I had to get a close up and post them. I am a lucky lady to have such a great hubby and son! Tim and Jake took me to Macaroni Grill for dinner. We got to go out for a grown up night for dinner! I was such a treat to have date night, and not have a little one to contend with! We went to dinner with our good friends Bill & Tara who were celebrating their anniversary.
On Sunday we had the family celebration at my sisters house. Jake is starting to get the concept of birthday so it was fun watching him sing happy birhtday.
I just wanted a plain yellow cake with chocolate frosting! My sister did a great job and the cake was YUMMY!
Both Jake and Jack helped me blow out my candles. It was such a great weekend and I got to celebrate for three days! I am definitely feeling very blessed!

Lunch with Grandpa John

Jacob had an ear infection last Thursday night so I kept him home on Friday and we had a great day together. We went down and had lunch with my dad wich was very fun. My dad was just beeming with pride! He had Jacob sit by him at lunch and they had a great time talking and sharing food. My dad is so naughty - he had me take this picture on my cell phone and then send it to my mom saying....eat your heart out. Grammy Lynn was definitely jealous!

When we went back to his place of business after eating, he took Jacob around to meet everyone. One the way home Jacob crashed and he had a good long nap. Then I took him to Dairy Queen for an ice cream when he woke up. I think ice cream hhelps to make it all better when you don't feel good!
