Bill, Tara & Audrey Come For A Visit

Our friends Bill and Tara came for dinner and a visit with their new bundle of joy Audrey! We had a great time hanging out and of course I loved getting in some baby snuggles with Miss Audrey!

Audrey is so cute and did well at Casa de Fulcher with little man Jake running around and all the dogs and the cat. I think it can be a little bit overwhelming, but she seemed to like it.
Of course Jacob was fascinated by having a baby in the house and had to come see what was going on when Audrey was on the floor. He was pretty cool with it until mommy or daddy held the baby. Then interestingly enough he would need to be held at the exact same time that mommy or daddy was holding Audrey. It was pretty sweet and funny.

Jacob liked all the thinks that were handing off Audrey's floor mat as they flashed and made noises.
It was time for Jacob to go to bed so he gave Audrey a kiss goodnight. Smmmmmwaaaahhhh!

Summer BBQ at John & Dawn's

Our good friends John & Dawn had a summer BBQ and swim party at their house. Let me tell you we were thankful for the pool as it has been getting really hot here!
Jacob had a great time playing in the pool. He liked standing on the step with daddy's and sissy's assistance. The water was a good temperature so everyone was in the pool for a while and had a great time.
But Jacob's FAVORITE part was the slide. Now he is too little to go all the way to the top and come down, but daddy did a great job in putting him up on the slide and then Jacob would scoot on down when he was ready.
Here he comes, getting closer and closer to the edge....
Hurray! Daddy caught him! Jacob would laugh and laugh when daddy would catch him. John and Dawn were great hosts and everyone had a good time! The company was good and the food was good - not to mention the pomegranate margaritas, YUMMY! We always feel so blessed to have such amazing friends who actively want to be a part of our lives and who love our kids so much.

Boxes Are Fun

It is funny that with all the cool toys in the house, kids like the simplest thing. A box can sometimes be the greatest thing ever!
Jacob must have played with this box for a half an hour. At one point he had to take his snacks into the box with him. I am quite certain that snacks taste better when you are in a box!

No More Highchair For Me

Jacob has been sitting up at the big table for quite some time now. He kind of got to a point one day where he did not want to be in the highchair any more. We still have the high chair in case we have visitors, but Jacob is definitely happier sitting at the regular table.

He is such a good eater and we are very happy about that! He loves all kinds of fruits and veggies, plus pretty much anything else you put in front of him. We were comply surprised the other night when he ate a ton of salad at Olive Garden and when he ate Taboule from Grandma's plate at Pita Jungle. So far we have been lucky to have him behave well at restaurants.

Happy Father's Day

We had a really great Father's day weekend. It was busy since we have most of our immediate family here, but we would not have it any other way. We feel so incredibly blessed to be surrounded by our family. Since my sister is out of town this weekend, we will be taking our dad to breakfast and celebrating Father's Day with him next weekend. We went to 7:30am mass this morning and then took Grandpa Fulcher out for a super yummy breakfast after church at Cracker Barrels. After way too much food we came home and Tim got to open his cards and presents from Jacob and Andrea.

Jacob gave daddy a super cool coffee mug that had a lot of his pictures on it and "Happy Father's Day".
Then Jacob decided he needed to help daddy with the present from his sissy Andrea. Notice the super cool wrapping. It was a Christmas box, and Andrea creatively taped a piece of paper to the front and wrote happy Father's Day on it. We thought it was pretty cute.
As Tim was reading the cards and looking at his gift from Andrea, Jacob was happily playing with the box. You know how it is....all these nice toys in the house and the little man is happiest with a box!
Tim and I have been working out faithfully the past several months, so Andrea gave him one of those great work out shirts that wicks away sweat. He loved it!
Tim with two of his kids - Derek is married to a wonderful girl (Jackie), living in Tucson and is in his in his last year of medical school. Andrea is getting ready to start her third year of college for a Physical Therapy assistant. We are not sure what little man Jake will be when he grows up but we are so blessed to have these amazing kids in our lives and are so proud of them all.

Swiming at Aunt Joni's house

My sister and her hubby went out of town to San Francisco this weekend for their 10 year anniversary. My mom and dad watched their boys for the weekend and we came over for a swim party. It was a lot of fun. Jacob had a great time playing in the pool with Grandma, Grandpa and cousins TJ and Jack.
We had a hard time fining a bucket hat that would fit his head, but we did find this read one! I think he looks so cute in his bucket hat!
This is one of my favorite pictures of Tim and Jacob. Now who could resist these two incredibly handsome guys! I know I can't! After our swim party mom and I went in and whipped up a great meal of baked ziti, garlic bread and a nice salad. Jacob had his first cashew nut today and lets just say he must have eaten 25 of them as he loved them. We had to stop him at one point as I was afraid he would get a belly ache. I think everyone was pretty happy with the company, the swim time and the food.

Crazy Man On The Couch

One of Jacob's most favorite things these days is to get up on the couch with us when we are sitting on it. Of course like most toddlers, he does not actually sit. He is more interesting in jumping around like a crazy man.
So one of us has to be there with him at all times if he gets up there. We are working on having him sit on his "bum", but he thinks it is wrestle mania time!
This is also one of his new favorite things - to show where different body part are. He is showing us where his eyes are. Jacob also likes to show us where our eyes are took, but we have to be careful as mostly we just get a poke in the eye.
All that jumping around made the little man thirsty! He was double fisting it with his sippy cups!
